CDI to Collaborate with Queensland Parliament
CDI Deputy Director, Mr Quinton Clements, met with the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland, Hon, Mike Reynolds AM MP, and the Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, at Parliament House in Brisbane on 12 October 2007. The discussion centred on future collaboration between CDI and the Queensland Parliament, especially in relation to supporting the National Parliaments of Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu. It was proposed that CDI and the Queensland Parliament host a roundtable on parliamentary assistance for Papua New Guinea involving interested parties in 2008.
